On April 30th, Tyson Franz of Sault Ste. Marie, ON won a $77,052 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) April 50/50 draw. Tyson’s lucky number (A-5660078) was drawn electronically, and he was called immediately.
As a long-time supporter of SAHF’s 50/50, Tyson was thrilled to get the call that he won, “I buy tickets every month, it’s a great way to support the hospital,” he shared. April calls for a double celebration as Tyson turned 50 in the same month he won our 50/50. It looks like a birthday wish may have come true! Tyson doesn’t have plans for his winnings yet, but a trip and a dog-sitter may be in his future.
Tyson wasn’t the only winner this month – April’s Early Bird, Todd Barber of Desbarats, ON, was the lucky winner of $10,000 on April 17th with ticket A-3411307.

Tickets for SAHF’s May 50/50 draw are on sale now! Get your tickets before May 15th for a chance to win the $10,000 early bird prize – plus every ticket has a chance at the growing jackpot.
Tickets are 10 for $10; 60 for $20; 200 for $40; or 750 for $75. In addition to online sales at www.soolottery.ca, tickets can be purchased in person at the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office (750 Great Northern Road) from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play.
