On February 29th, Nicholas McIntosh of Sault Ste. Marie, ON won a $83,640 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) February 50/50 draw. Nicholas’ lucky number (F-2211987) was drawn electronically, and he was called immediately.
“No way!” was Nicholas’ first response when he was told he’d won the draw. Nicholas, in his 20s, is one of the younger winners of the monthly SAHF 50/50. Nicholas and his partner are expecting a baby in July and trying to buy a house, “This win is coming at a great time for us, we’re so excited!”
Nicholas wasn’t the only winner this month – February’s Early Bird, Lori Rose of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and her group of 10 were the lucky winners of $10,000 on February 14th with ticket F-6215545.
“It’s great to see how life-changing these prizes can be for our winners,” said Teresa Martone, Executive Director for Sault Area Hospital Foundation. “For this month’s jackpot winner, it’s helping purchase a home. Tickets are 10 for $10; 60 for $20; 200 for $40; or 750 for $75. In addition to online sales at www.soolottery.ca, tickets can be purchased in person at the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office (750 Great Northern Road) from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play.
